The Maverick Nica Bluetooth headset looks like something I’d really love to Audio Test.
It’s got a unique shape going for it and pretty much kicks some serious booty in design. Check it out:
Looks pretty awesome, right?
It features that spring clip that Original Jawbone users are so wistful for and also doesn’t go in your ear. Maverick is marketing that as an open-ear style headset, I do wonder if this could detract from the acoustics of the headset.
It comes in 3 different colors: Black, White, and Pink. The chargers are also really interesting looking. Check out the different colors, accessories, and features at Maverick Lifestyle’s website.
Hopefully Maverick will send us over a review version.
Apparently it’s time for Safety whilst driving. We here at BlueTruth.com though believe one week isn’t enough! Let’s make it a lifetime of National Safety.
I am taking a pledge now to y’all that I won’t ever be caught stranded without my Bluetooth while driving. Speakerphone just doesn’t cut it for me. Need to be truly hands-free and the only way to do that is to go wireless with a Bluetooth.
For those of you who can not get enough music coming out of enough orifices, the bulb sound kit seeks to fill those holes…Man that is such a loaded statement.
Now Bluetooth audio is generally not too high quality and this isn’t an actual functioning light, but the idea is kinda cool. You could put one of those say in your bathroom if you have a whole crap load of lights and you don’t missing one.
Aliph, the makers of that oh so popular Jawbone and Jawbone 2 headsets, also know as the Original Jawbone and New Jawbone, have come up with something pretty cool: New Fit Earbuds!
Jawbone New Fit Earbuds
These earbuds are made to stay securely in your ear so you don’t have to wear an earloop with your Jawbone. AND they fit the Original Jawbone as well. AND Aliph is offering them for free on their website, just pay the $2.99 shipping fee. Just go here: http://us.jawbone.com/store/products.aspx
Thanks Jawbone! Now I can abandon my earloop that keeps breaking when I put it in my pocket.
On Bluetruth.com we carry a motorcycle headset made by Cardo called the Scala Rider. Every other headset we carry on the site, we have all taken home and got friendly with for a few days, but since non of us ride motorcycles, we haven’t had the same experience with the Scala Rider. We did manage to do an audio test with it in a very interesting way. And it was a group effort, with Ian driving the car, Pouria testing the headset, Gordon on the other end recording and me filming the whole thing for posterity.
Also, it seems like the motorcycle riders seem to be less likely to write reviews, as this is the only headset on the site that does not have any customer reviews.
My office mate and sometimes guest blogger, Pouria, loves his Joby Zivio. He thinks it’s the best headset we carry and will argue with anyone who thinks differently. He’s been using his Zivio Boom for several months now and for the second time the little magnetized rubber piece that holds the earloop on has broken. Now another one of my office-mates broke this same piece on the headset we were testing out, but he breaks pretty much everything he touches so we didn’t give it too much credence. However, Pouria going through the 2 that it came with in a few months, says something. Clearly there is a defect.
So, instead of just biting the bullet and paying for new accessories, Pouria contacted Joby and told them what was going on. Joby not only apologized, but sent him an updated version of the piece for free. Now we can find out how long this piece will last.

Fresh off the floor at CES, JMTek showed a patent pending idea for a Bluetooth headset USB drive combo. The drives would come in 1-8 GB sizes and an array of colors. It’s an interesting idea, I have no idea of a release date, if any. For inquiries, you can contact JMTek directly at: sales@jmtek.cn
Gordon and Pouria are at CES right now playing with all the new gadgets that are coming out. They are sending me texts and photo’s along the way. So far the really excting things are that Plantronics was showing off their Discovery 925 headset in white!
And Pouria just sent me these pictures of BluaAnts new Q1 headsets, due out in the second quarter of this year. Apparently it’s going to rival the Jawbone for noise clarity! And it has voice control, like their V1
